Education for children aged 5-15 is compulsory. You must enrol your children at the nearest primary or high school. Education is free, but you may be required to contribute a small amount of money for educational materials.

Adult Education

The newly arrived refugees, humanitarian entrants and some migrants are eligible for free English language classes. You may visit the Australian Centre for Languages (ACL) and present the required documents to enrol. If you arc eligible, you will receive 510 hours of free English classes. There are two centres in the Fairfield LGA:

  • 6-8 Alan St. Fairfield, Tel: (02) 9726 4288

  • 2 Hughes St Cabrainatta, Tel: (02) 9786 4242

Study at TAFE

High school graduates and year 10 students who drop their high school studies are eligible to enrol at a College of TAFE to improve your career prospects and acquire better employment opportunities. Enrolment involves fees which depend on the course and some other factors. You can contact the CareeF Advisor at any TAFE Campuses and get the right information, or visit any TAFE Campus.
