The Assyrian Workers Network (AWN) was established in 2001 for Assyrians who work in helping services. The AWN has embarked on a number of projects that have been of benefit to local services and the Assyrian community, particularly in regards to cultural awareness raising, gaps identification and accessibility of mainstream service to the Assyrian community. This network is an important access point to the Assyrian community. Current membership includes workers from Fairfield Multicultural Health Service, Karitane, Cabramatta Community Centre Aged Care Program, South Western Sydney Area Health Service and the Assyrian Resource Centre.
